Baby Steps
On warm summer nights along the Lowcountry coast, mother sea turtles make their way out of the sea to lay their eggs in the soft sand. From Myrtle Beach, to hunting island, these little guys are carefully guarded by conservation-minded individuals, but it is still a perilous journey. Only one in one thousand make it to adulthood. Here, Clay has lovingly depicted through this hand cut silhouette the beginning of their journey.
